Two years ago, we had our first group of Washington DC architects exhibit their extraordinary clay work in our gallery to great acclaim. Now in 2008, a new group of DC's most innovative and celebrated architects will turn their design sensibilities to the medium of clay. Armed with12 pounds of earthenware, the architects, free to explore the medium as sculpture, vessel or model – will demonstrate their 3-dimensional ideas without the normal constraints of budgets and building codes. Out of the kiln will emerge exciting experimental works which will be displayed on walls, floors and pedestals along with their "DC Architects' Cups" collection in our Georgetown gallery.
